There is not a senior starting for either team.

Hadzic a three. We need a lot more of that.

Pippins in the game early.

Ten minutes in and we are only down 3. I'll take it.

We are not shooting well, and they are. But we are staying with them on the boards, and keeping turnovers down.

We have to find someone who can make baskets!

Defense very good so far, if we could just make a few baskets ourselves. They have shot 18 FTs and we have shot 2, and that is pretty much the story of the game so far.

Logic would say that MSU will pull away second half, but I am proud of the team so far. We need someone to get hot.

And sure enough they come out hot from the break.

We are hanging around, but we need to make a run here pretty quickly.

Lottie has way too many turnovers.

I keep saying to myself, "My kingdom for someone who can make shots," and then I remember that those two guys are probably on the injured list.

Given where we are, I am not all that disappointed in this game. We stayed with them blow for blow in the first half. Except for the run they went on right after halftime, we played them pretty well. We held them to 20% from the arc. (All of a sudden that has become a strength of this team.) They shot 17 more FTs than we did.

Andre Jones was 1 for 8. Something has to give with that guy.

Jaizec Lottie had 6 turnovers. Way too many for a point guard.

Once again Pippins contributed. I think he will be a difference maker before the year is over.

Wadly is 6-11, plays 14 minutes, and does not have a single rebound.

Ben Marcus 3 of 3. The kid just does not miss many shots. He is now 35 of 45 (78%) for the year.

No question that MSU had better players than we did, but that was expected. LR didn't stink it up like at Bradley, and acquitted themselves pretty well. But some of the weaknesses we've seen in this team before we're still on display.

But we start a brand new season now with conference play. Maybe they will surprise us all. Go Trojans!

There are some positive things happening. If we can get healthy, we might make a little noise in the Belt this year.
