FAU spanked the Zips
More like beat them to a bloody pulp. I figured FAU would have their way with Akron but feel bad for them losing SO badly.

Final score 50 - 3. Ouch.

How about NIU vs. Boise State (2015 Poinsettia Bowl) bad? Remember? 33 yards of total offense?

For some odd reason, you people keep wanting to bring up the boise game like it means anything. We played a QB who was basically a kid pulled out of the dorms. What a stupid argument to make, and why people constantly bring the Boise game up is seriously beyond me.

Our quarterback that day was Ryan Graham, not the Fiedler kid who we pulled from the dorms for the MAC championship. Graham was 7-21 for 38 yards against Boise.

What reason is there to remember it? We pulled a kid out of the dorms and into the fire — never saw him before or after. 03-lmfao

Is 33 total yards by one team the least amount of yards produced in a FBS vs. FBS game? Shouldn't have mattered who the QB is, that was a getting outcoached issue.

The initial poster stated that NIU has never lost "Akron bad". Dog Fan simply responded by pointing out that NIU suffered the most humiliating defeat in college football history. He wasn't the one that brought it up, and it isn't a stupid argument - he's dead on correct. Also, that was our 2017 starting quarterback Ryan Graham under center, not Fielder

I musta blocked final score from my memory. What was it?

CAUTION: Poinsettia plants are dangerous when consumed by animals. Didn't TCU also run wild over HUSKIES as well?

Russell Wilson ran and passed at will that fateful day.
He is still doing same in NFL. He was sick back then and sicker now.

NIU needs a rent - a- college QB like him next season. 07-coffee3

final score was 55 - 7. that's a big spanking too. *sigh*

Our QB was indeed Ryan Graham who was 7 - 21 38 yards. not some nobody . He was an actual backup QB.

The most humiliating defeat in college football history? Take it easy. It was an absolute beat down and NIU was obviously not interested in the game. However, there are brutally bad losses for larger programs every year...NIU losing can't be that humiliating just based on how few people care whether NIU wins or loses. Most humiliating loss in NIU history and for the NIU players on that team? Yeah, that would make sense

I almost feel like Akron was a lamb the MAC sacrificed against their best bowl opponent in hopes of improving the odds of the remaining MAC bowl teams.

No, that was so Kiffin and FAU would have a big win. This was a well thought out mismatch.
