Crowell is listed as an OL. Was half hoping we'd try him at DL first. I suppose that could happen. 3 OL and a smaller DL signed...we need a fatty in the middle.

We typically have (at least) one QB in each class.

Well, since Shon's redshirt was burned, we basically have a class without a QB...assuming Jerrell redshirts. That's borderline not enough QBs when you think about it.

It's not a big deal people. He's an athletic QB. If it doesn't work out he is a safety, fullback, or receiver.

Well, apparently that's it. I guess for now Shinskie is a no go. I haven't heard of an official decommitment, so there is a chance he is weighing his options and still sign during the standard February signing period. I guess we'll see what happens.

I'm not sure but I think this class leaves us with 2 full scholarships. The 2 guys who originally committed are options, of course, but we may also consider a transfer, several partial scholarships, or award them to current walk ons

I can't recall the last class devoid of a running back or wide receiver. No TE or LB, either.

Also, what happened to our pipeline out of Georgia...that area always produced stars for us.

I don't see the lack of a scholarship RB being an issue, since we currently have 7(?) on the roster with quite a few contributing. If we don't sign one this year it just becomes a point of emphasis for next year.

I do think we would benefit from adding another WR, however again we have plenty of bodies there and many are with 2+ years left.

There was a LB we showed interest in that I remember watching his tape and he looked like a great fit. I believe he was discussed on the recruiting board. I will have to go back and see what has become of him, hopefully we are still recruiting him.

All in all this looks like a great class to me featuring some guys we really wanted.
