PWC predicts sports media rights to continue to grow in $$$ in the future
Interesting article. Predicts tv rights to continue to rise for all sports.

Not sure how this affects the AAC but hopefully the trend they predict will mean more $$$$ for our league.

Downside is we continue to subsidize the big 10, ACC, SEC, etc.

I'm hearing $15 million from our TV partner.

$12m per conference ($1.25M per team)?

that's worst case scenario...I was thinking $20M+/team/year

I wish. This Disney acquisition of Fox Sports Regional networks pretty much removes any serious competitor in the next negotiation (not that I expected Fox to be a serious bidder). No competition for ESPN = no reason for them to pay more.

Yeah, we aren't getting any more money. More exposure probably, but not more money.

CBS, NBC, and ESPN want us. Plus the online outlets. Fox is already pretty full.

Time will tell, I have no idea who will be interested, and how $$$ interested they will be.

I do think we need to add 5+ BB games to the CBS package we already do, and add in a good FB game each week, for a solid tier 2 package. and also sell Champ game separately.
