We've got a good bit of talent coming in. But as I said in another thread, comes down to QB. Hoping Jack Abraham (or someone for that matter) can take over and be our next AD.

I think don't think Griggs has done anything to lose his job. If Marcelo is a better QB then they would've played him this year, period. Griggs will be a RS Senior next year and Marcelo will be a RS freshman. He'll play mop up duty and then he'll be our guy in '19, '20, and '21.

I agree.....once KG started getting reps, I saw nothing that would threaten his position as the #1 going into '18....
if he gets beat out, so be it.....
hell, even I lobbied to pull the shirt when he got hurt........the dayum punter would've been as effective as KH under center....how many play sets did they run when he was in......what about 8......it's insane how the playbook was dumb'd down with KH at the helm
I still contend this was a wasted season by choosing KH out of the gate......a lot of talent this team has that realistically could've entered the bowl season with 10 or 11 wins against this years schedule.....
that's all on Hop-a-long there....

I saw a lot that makes me question whether KG should start next year. At times, he was just as ineffective as KH and has a tendency to throw up jump balls. I’d rather have someone who can accurately hit receivers than throw a bullet that’s two feet too high/low.

The offense was consistently more effective with Griggs under center. There's no arguing against that. No, he isn't making the ring of honor any time soon but he generally plays well enough to give us a chance to win and limits turnovers.
Unless Marcelo absolutely kills it in the spring, Griggs will be our starter. I worry more about losing Ito and our entire secondary than I do the QB situation to be honest. The offense is going to need to score a whole lotta points next year to win games.

one on one toss-ups has become part of the game now.....
however, I get what you're saying.....
he does go to that well a tad too much.....it beats the living shite out of, 'oh shite, my #1 is covered....now I have to become fran tarkenton w/o a clue'
hopefully, another year will help solve that.....
he's our best option at this point.....that much is obvious.....

we're going to miss MOREITO!.....he's my all time fave to watch.....the next version of Sproles will see playing time next year.......book that one....
the secondary will definitely be a question mark going into next year......that's what recruiting and coaching is supposed to overcome.....

I have to agree with those saying Griggs should be #1 coming into the 2018 season. He was a solid player. I think Keon is a great athlete, so I hope we find a spot other than QB where he can be productive. Maybe he can play RB or a slot WR?

there are ways to get him the ball in the wildcat or the slot.....
it's simply a matter of what he's willing to accept moving forward.....
remember what happened with battery boy......
sometimes the prima donnas don't adjust well.....
we can only hope he is not of that cloth and the coaches can utilize his talent in other areas as needed.....

Wildcat!? I dont want him touching the ball at all, as much as he fumbles. Geeez.
Plus, id rather just stick to our regular offense with Griggs. He doesn't need any help back there at QB. Hes capable of running the wildcat and so is Tez, if need be.
