Great news!
Cardon and Marcus as a tandem could be nearly unstoppable, and make up for any slight dropoff in the passing game.

RE: Cardon
Terrific news. Would love to see Cardon make it through a whole year. Even better, would love to see some 2-back sets with CJ & MM. Or, make it 3 with Sharp too. Ahhhh heck, who needs CoJo or Gage? We'll go the 4-headed Wildcat formation with Percy in there too. Revolutionizing football is what JMU is all about.

Does this mean his hardship was granted or that he intends to go for it?

HCMH and staff feel confident it will be granted, and they are holding a ‘ship for him.

As previously stated, his situation is the definition of the rule. It really couldn't be any clearer this is why the rule exist.

RE: Cardon
Cardon, Marcus, Trai, Percy should make the transition to a new QB easier, no? And while young, offensive line will have all had atleast some experience. Jahee, Bethea, Patrick, Fornadel, chavious, I'd think. Maybe Butler in at one of the guard spots, or rotate in and out like this year.

Butler was ahead of both Beathea & Fornadel when he got injured. Fornadel only a true Fr, so think he starts. Butler probably would ahead of Bethea at the other OG spot.

Agreed. Hopefully thats the thinking around the coaching staff. I will say, a senior leader on the team this year told me " Percy is another Abdullah," and that we will loveeeee him(more than we already do.)

RE: Cardon
This is fantastic news. Was really hoping he would be able to come back. He definitely has a lot more recovery time with this injury than his last. Hopefully he can come back at 100%. If so that backfield will be an absolute powerhouse. Ideal situation for breaking in a new QB to have those guys to rely on. Would also be great to get Percy a redshirt if possible. Tough situation for him but if he can be patient it would really be the best in the long run. Sit out next season, then in 2019 it will be his show with 3 seasons of eligibility left.

RE: Cardon
Great news for Cardon. I just hope his rehab from this years injury goes well and he has an injury free season next year. After all the things that have happened to him and all the hard work he has put in he certainly deserves it!!

You are sooo right, because he is the perfect candidate, he'll get denied, yet grant sixth year to some bozo at FL State.

RE: Cardon
Curious to hear from former players... is redshirt designation frustrating? A compliment? Depends on the kid / coach?
In this case, id guess Obese-won-kenobi would see it as a good thing... like getting a franchise tag, of sorts

Pretty sure Cardon's application will be the impetus for West Texas A&M's women's equestrian team being placed on 3 years probation by the NCAA.

Don't see a redshirt for him next year as he was one of our best special teams player towards the end of the season.
