Big story for me is the number of JUCOs. We are scooping up JUCOs more than I would have expected.

Surprised by the number of DL and LB from the JUCO ranks. I perfectly understand the JUCO WR and TEs.

We have depth at the DB positions, so fortifying the already strong DL + augmenting LB = very strong defense in 2018.

We still have Gadie and Whitmer outstanding from the known verbals.

This is easily coach's best recruiting class imho

The big thing, for me, is to fill graduation holes:

1) WR/TE - yes. Big hole. Two JUCOs so far with Whitmer still expected.

2). LB - we graduated a few and replaced them with JUCOs.

3). Less critical but we added depth on the DL which will face graduation losses after 2018 season.

As E'Tough noted, QB is the big question mark TBD.

The EMUFB account will usually tweet out something like: "Presenting the class of 2017-18." with all names of signers listed. So once we see that tweet, we'll know the coaches have told the media relations team 'we are done.'

No such tweet yet, so there are probable signers still out there. Meaning the coaches do not think we've lost the last two commits.

But I agree with '79 and Steve. This is Creighton's best class thus far. Good job filling holes.

and it never happens before noon. It is typical for a late signee or two to occur in the afternoon.

247 currently ranks our class 5th best in the MAC, and that's without the un-announced commits that signed today.

It appears that EMU is seriously loaded at DE. Add the 2 new JUCOs plus a HS kid to what they already have. Wow!

Meh. Fleck did the same and they dropped off big time with Lester at the helm. If Creighton can keep EMU in the Top 5 going forward we'll be able to compete with anybody.

MAC is mostly about finding the 2/3 star kids and then providing the proper coaching and development.

Yeah, there sometimes might be reason for not signing immediately, but he does seem solid.

I'm really worried about Whitmer. Don't know if he is supposed to be a December grad or what and if so, he should be signing NOW.

BTW, the big story line from the CC video: 8 or 9 of the recruits, both JUCOs and frosh, will be coming in next month.

Worst case, still have Odukoya, and Kemp coming back healthy should continue to develop into a pretty good player.

That is big. From the looks of them, every single one of these Juco's will likely see the field next year, and most will find themselves in the 2 deep.

Is EMU having a recruiting social type event?

Did CC ever say how many spots they have open and if they plan on signing more guys in Feb?
