I think the specific circumstances under which the game ended was actually worse for the Saints last night, but clearly the stakes were far lower last night.

I'm sure there are people who believe that, but I scanned a couple of threads and didn't see anyone saying that the Saints loss was worse, this is not to say no one said it, there are dumbasses in literally every fanbase in every sport, but you make it sound like someone started a thread that said "the Saints loss was worse than ours" and every fan replied in agreement.

What I did see was a bunch of people saying that watching the Saints lose like that eased some of the pain of our loss the day before and even from the Super Bowl loss. I certainly agree with the former, I'm definitely glad to not have to watch the Saints keep playing after we were knocked out. There will always be schadenfreude in rivalries and both sides will always claim the other side is "obsessed"with their team, I saw it said just now on the Falcons board that the Saints board is obsessed with the Falcons and 28-3 and I'm sure the Saints board(somewhere I have zero intention of ever visiting) has fans claiming Falcons fans are obsessed with them and now with this devastating loss... and here you are, (presumably) a Saints fan, telling me things you have read on my teams message board, so either you've been trolling/lurking on the Falcons board or some other Saints fan has been and starting threads on their board.

As in all rivalries, this is a two way street and both sides like to pretend it isn't. These exact same conversations happen here about the AAC and vice versa, the same is true of MT/WKU boards et al

So if it makes you feel better to continue to propegate this sort of clearly biased rivalry banter that is entirely built around a blindspot for the exact same talk going on on your own board, be my guest, but I know better.
