C-USA has jumped from the 20th rated conference, from about two months ago, to 13th.

Let's continue to improve. Multiple chances to get RPI-boosting wins over the next few days before conference play starts.

Marshall win or lose will help their RPI Tuesday by playing #10 Xavier.

UTSA basketball has seen marked improvement under 2nd year head coach Steve Henson. Keaton Wallace and Jhivvan Jackson are two freshman guards to keep an eye on.

C-USA has jumped from the 20th rated conference to the 15th rated conference. All teams but UTEP, Charlotte, and Rice have improved their ratings. WKU improved 130 places, while UTSA and North Texas had major improvements as well.

To me, this is just a correction. I still think Marshall and definitely Middle are severely under ranked there.

Different approaches to rating teams will obviously carry over to ranking conferences. There is a huge discrepancy in the rankings of the lower half of the Sun Belt teams from KenPom to RealTimeRPI.

Most rating services rank the Sun Belt well above what RealTimeRPI ranks the Sun Belt.

I was wondering the same thing. Esp since Realtime RPI has us in pretty much the exact same spot.

The RPI is based on 100% data from this season and Kenpom started the season based off last year and as the data gets added to it you move up or down. At a point in the season what happened last year will not affect the numbers

Why even worry about what the belch is doing, we're head and shoulders above them. They'll be just another one bid league this year.

Middling CUSA team, Marshall, beats half the MAC and they're ranked above us. These weren't awful teams, either. Ohio, Toledo, and Akron are all upper tier MAC teams. I'm sure it'll work out eventually but early rankings just seem back assward sometimes.

Right now, KenPom has C-USA 14th and the MAC 15th. Sun Belt is still 13th.
