Really not taking a shot here, because I actually think ASU played pretty well. And it was obvious that ASU has a good team. But the ASU QB needs to learn to throw the ball AWAY into row 15, and not take sacks. That was kind of shocking.

Most of what we don't do is because we're not really coached on it. Its' been a problem all season...a problem that has hidden behind teams known as Georgia Southern, Coastal Carolina, UL Lafayette, and Texas State.

Anderson complains regularly about Hansen being too laid back on the field and sideline, showing no fire or concern with the game, yet Anderson is literally the exact same way.

Usually what happens is our AD's pulls Anderson in for a chat mid season and he comes back fired up and we win a lot of games in a row. For some reason, that chat never happened this year. Probably because we took our losses late rather than early.

Not sure what happens now. Our fan base is known to not tolerate anything other than 9-10 win seasons, and Anderson has only done that once here...only to get eviscerated by Tech because he didn't put an emphasis on a bowl game again. If he doesn't win next year with basically our entire offense back...I wouldn't be shocked to see a couple boosters cough up the cash and request he be terminated.

That's not Faulkner. Anderson took play calling away from him after last year. This disaster was all on Blake. He made the odd decision to play this season without a QB coach, and call all the plays himself. It bombed.

That's not Faulkner. Anderson took play calling away from him after last year. This disaster was all on Blake. He made the odd decision to play this season without a QB coach, and call all the plays himself. It bombed.

I disagree I think you guys were ranked in the Top 20 on offense this year and you averaged around 35 ppg. You may have finished 7-5 but those are numbers most teams would take.

The offense didn't bomb in the true sense in that we had a lot of yards and scored points, but the competition can't big ignored. We had 8 opponents this year ranked 90 or below in team defense. Only 3 opponents ranked above 89. We lost all 3 of those. Missing App and Georgia State kept us from running into two more.

Now, if you want Anderson back, by all means. There's not a single fan left that wouldn't help him pack.

ASU is a very good team. The ASU offense is very very good and very dangerous. Our D played one of the best games I've seen in a while and they had to in order to get the W. Our O, not so much right now. We just have to focus more on fundamentals and run the ball more. We were lucky to come out of there with the W.

However, I also must say that the refs were abysmal to say the least. That turnover that they ruled at the 1 yard line was so awful. I was there and the MT WR was clearly down before he went on his back. That was just the tip of the iceberg.

Personally, I really wish we were still in the same conference. We always traded paint and have always brought a heated rivalry to the game. ASU has had storied years and has done stuff we've yet to do like win outright titles. The proximity was great and would have been great for CUSA too. I hope we can play again soon. I admit, I miss playing you guys mainly because it was an easy road trip for both sides. It was a miserable game to watch from an AState perspective and an officiating perspective, but it was cool getting to play a team we have an actual history with when so many of our games now are parts of series less than 5 games old. It's a shame we can't agree to play in well...anything in nonconference. Just makes zero since given the history and easy drive.

I'm still not sure what they called on the turnover at the 1. There was no way it should have been our TD, but there was no real video evidence to prove if receiver caught it, or our guy caught it. Only thing we know is our guy had it with a knee on the ground, and that's just what they went with.

MWC refs are historically abysmal. We've played a few non overtime 4 hour games recently...all with MWC refs. They call everything, and when they miss a call, they make it up 2 plays later on something that shouldn't be called.
