Secondly, Keatts was 6-6 in his non-conference schedule, including wins over Catawba, UNCG (310), VMI (287), St. Andrews, Liberty (347), and ECU (220). As I stated, this squad has faced a much tougher schedule than Keatts did in his first season. The SOS in 14-15 was 311th compared to 45th this year. Have we left wins on the table? We can look back at ECU and feel bad about that game, but we were really disappointed after losing to Loyola and UNCG and they both followed up wins against us with big-time wins (over UF and NCSU). Respectively, their RPI is 119 and 80, Valpo's RPI is 107, Davidson is 143rd and LSU is 129th. Easy to see that the schedule makes a huge difference is results.

Our best non-conference win in Keatts inaugural season was against ECU and he lost to a comparable Campbell team in '14. How does Coach Keatts, considered a good coach by most lose to UNI and UNCG with ACC talent? We're much more understanding of the challenges Keatts faces than we our the challenges McGrath faces.
ok so i misquoted numbers, honestly i didn't take the time to look em up, my bad. You still didn't answer the question. He took a terrible team from the previous year and did well(FACT). So how is it that we can use this excuse for CB? What Kevin is doing at State has ZERO to do with this discussion.

You're being obtuse. I answered the question; it's SOS.

ok, I'll digress at this point. But that won't be a legit excuse if things don't turn around in conference.

For you, nothing will suffice. You had your mind made before the season started and needed McGrath to prove your preconceived notions wrong. I'm sure losing 5 of our top 8 players is inconsequential; I'm sure the league realignment won't matter...Colonial was pretty bad in 2015 (league RPI of 19). Currently, we're sitting at 12th as a conference and last year we finished 11th.

For me, I'm not comparing Keatts and McGrath, just as I didn't compare Keatts to Brownell or Brownell to Wainwright. It's pointless. I'm withholding judgment until years 2 and 3, and you made up your mind the day the hire was announced.

That's complete BS. I didn't like the hire, but said i'd give him a chance, and I did. But it's been bad, really bad, like train wreck bad. If we were competing and taking close losses it would be a completely different story. We are getting demolished, and not improving at all, and the staff REFUSES to make simple, rec league coach level adjustments!
You can't have your cake and eat it too, that's why you won't compare him to Keatts's first year because it doesn't fit your agenda

My agenda is giving the staff time to bring in their guys and implement their system before determining if the hire was a success or failure. Everything I've said is consistent with this. Not sure how/why that is controversial.

LET THE SEASON PLAY OUT! As Talley said yesterday in the presser, they are taking the loses now....keep working hard and it all comes down to the conference games and tourney.
