He was a manager on some good teams in the late 80's under MT Coach Bruce Stewart (2 NCAA Tourneys and 2 NIT's).

I'm reading it was more Price walking away. How wild is it that UTSA and North Texas have more stable basketball programs than UTEP and Charlotte right now? This freaking conference.

Not enough heads have rolled yet for that. Firing Lutz after a contract extension and 19 win season, the Alan Major debacle (another "let go" after a contract extension), keeping Lambert despite his 17-41 record (yet another questionable contract extension), and now this? I don't want Judy picking his replacement and I'm not sure I want "Chapel Hill" Phil Dubois picking her's either.

Not to mention the cupboard was bare and there was really no time to put together a recruiting class year one

I'm not saying he was going to work out, just that this makes no sense with Lambert staying and the timing/state of the program when he was hired.

Season wasn't going well and should have been able to finish the year. He's a scapegoat for Judy Rose. She has to go.

I really liked Mark Price as a player but he couldn't keep his players from transferring as a coach, his 1st year I wouldn't put on him but still he had 2 transfer:

15-16 Transfers
Torin Dorn (Freshman) - NC State
Keyshawn Woods (Freshman) - Wake Forest
2 Grad Transfers - Mike Thorne Jr and Willie Clayton

16-17
Ridell Camidge (Sophomore) - Tarleton State
Curran Scott (Freshman) - Tulsa
Ivan Benkovic (Junior) - Mid American State
1 Grad Transfer - Cameron Blakely

17-18
Quentin Jackson (Freshman) - Tallahassee Community College
Lukas Bergang (RS Freshman - Tyler Junior College
JC Washington (Junior) - William Penn
Luke Sasser (Junior) - George Washington
1 Grad Transfer - Benas Griciunas

That's 9 transfers in a 3 year span and losing 4 to Grad transfers. That's 13 kids (the exact amout of scholarship players a DI program is allowed) cycling in and out of a program. It would be extremely hard to win with this happening.

Getting rid of coaches mid season is becoming more of a thing.

Judy Rose is a cancer...plain and simple.

So you Charlotte folks don't like the firing, I presume ?
