Which is kind of surprising considering we have a pretty 1-3-1 defense ourself.

I don’t know if I would call out the coaches from this performance. They honestly deserve inordinate praise for even having our Bucs in position to win this game. To come this far from the opening game is astounding.

Game was decided when they callled those last 2 cheap fouls on desonta. He is our one guy who is on that level and the refs took him out. They called 3 fouls on that team in the second half. 3!!

Devastating. Just another ETSU heartbreaker. Oklahoma, Wake Forest, Cincy, Tennessee, Xavier.... the list is a long one.

Clearly had no answer for it . Xavier had our number with the `1-3-1. We also did n't have any plan for the last shot either. Nobody else was an option at all except Bradford.

We have beaten Xavier and Cincy before. Moral victories mean nothing. We should not be content with Miss Congeniality.

If your up 22 points on somebody with 14 minutes you should not lose.

2/3's of a great basketball game. Putting together the pieces in a way none of us thought remotely possible going into this game. Exposed Xavier as having a weakness for a quicker team playing fierce defense.

13 minutes of missed opportunity. You don't get many chances like this.

The 1-3-1 and the fear of losing such a hard earned lead took us out of it. We couldn't find the weaknesses in the 1-3-1 on the baseline and in the post. The shots that we stroked without fear in the first half got aimed.

Of course we should have won, but.... look how far this team has come. Look what is possible when all the pieces are firing together. We should never go into another game without knowing what is possible and having a little more swagger.

You can say that but teams like Xavier go on runs like that against teams like that all the time. Xavier is better than us at all positions except 1, Desonta, and he had to sit big minutes in the 2nd half on phantom fouls. They had no answer for him.

God yall are harsh. I don't blame the coaches at all. I've never been more neutral about a loss than this one. Yes we absolutely should have pulled this one out, but we looked phenomenal most of the game. Couldn't do anything against the 1-3-1 as you all have stated. I feel terrible for the boys, "they were visibly upset and crying"

Yes there is a lot of positives to take away from this game... but if you can not look back at the game and understand we should have adjusted to the 1 3 1 and won the game then you are blind or competent.

Sometimes there are no adjustments that can be made. Their length in that 1-3-1 was something we had no answer for except Desonta and he had to sit.

Rarely do coaches ever scheme an upset. It happens when players have uncharacteristic games or a team has a player that another team can’t match up with. Desonta is our guy that teams don’t usually have an answer for.

BUCS did nothing offensively in 2nd half to get fouls called. Only issue with refs was last two on DB.

I do give credit to staff for progress this team has made but the in-game today in second half was flat out bad. Of course if players don’t brick 3-4 birdies we’re all getting drunk right now in celebration.
