Pastner got run off because he could not coach. His players liked him, but most of the fans left because of Pastner's intolerable misuse of his players and lack of basketball intelligence. He won because he had the best players in most games, not because he out coached the other guy. His teams were not fun to watch because his players were not well coached even in victories. If you enjoy watching a well coached team execute coaching decisions based on years of experience and proven success, then you should stick around. Of course by now after so many fans have deserted the program, there are going to be some very poorly attended games. It is easier to keep a customer than it is to get a new one. There is a word for that.

He's right about that. It's why they all left every year, they liked him too much.
It was too easy to see through the BS. During recruiting they fell for his act like a lot of people did. Once they were on campus and were around him for extended period they recognized that he was really Eddie Haskell and didn't care about anyone.
