Poor Chicago State. Northwestern wins 96-31... Ouch!

Yeah, I’m trying to fight off the trolls on Twitter with that one. Just... really nothing to say.

55-8 at the half. I can’t imagine. At least it’s over?

Josh,

What happened in that game? I know Northwestern was a NCAA tournament team from a P5 conference and are pretty solid, but usually Chicago State has been able to be competitive for at least awhile. Were they missing players, somebody injured? That just doesn't seem right. If somebody is out, I hope they get back soon.

I really am curious what went wrong. Last year I felt Chicago State should have won a couple more WAC games than they did. And for morale sake if nothing else I'd like to see them win 4 or 5 WAC conference games this year. (I coach and I am very sympathetic to squads facing long odds, and I do want to see those boys rewarded with at least a little success).

Seattle U started slow and let St Martins (D2) shoot 12/17 from 3 in the first half, but pulled away in the end for the 16 point win. SU actually beat St Martins by the largest margin of any D1 school as Wazzu only won by 11 and UW by 4.

Undefeated at home this year, SU puts that on the line hosting Portland and Cal the next two games

Portland will be interesting. Cal seems to be a three alarm dumpster fire (I didn't even know that was possible).

Big weekend for the WAC! If NMSU, CSUB and UTRGV can pull off upsets over Illinois, Georgia Southern and UT Arlington then the WAC should move up a spot or two in the conference rankings. Of course, UVU, SU and UMKC will need to defeat their opponents (Hawaii, Portland and Incarnate Word) as well. Going 6-1 (I do not hold out much hope for CSU defeating Bradley) would be fantastic! Cheering on the WAC!!

CSUB playing tough against Georgia Southern. 28-27 at half. Crowd looks a bit sparse though. What happened to all those sellouts Clarity was predicting?

So far we are 1-2 tonight. Big win by CSUB over Georgia Southern. CSU and UMKC both fall.

I'm encouraged by how the 'Runners seem to be improved in closing out games lately. BIG improvement over last year.

They will start once they are in the powerhouse Big West Conference.

UTRGV losing by 10 with 10 minutes to play. Would be a major win for the WAC if UTRGV could somehow pull this out.

It was looking possible early in the 2nd half, got within 3 pts. But it didn't last.

Great win for NMSU though.

Great win by the Aggies (74-69) over Illinois, but UTRGV goes down against UTA. The WAC is now 2-3 tonight.
