MyBB Johnson AAC Rookie of the Week
Per Mark G Tweet:

Quote:Memphis G Jamal Johnson has been named the AAC basketball rookie of the week after scoring game-winning basket vs. Samford and scoring career-high 18pts vs. Bryant

Congrats to Jamal and here is hoping it is the first of many awards. 04-cheers

More than likely is. He is going to be a very good player for us. So far i have seen four players who are capable of high major level basketball. Tubby will coach them and the other players up, and he is already bringing the team together offensively and defensively. improve as much in the next 9 or 10 games as they have already and they just might have a chance at the dance.

2 games ago (less than a week), they were cursing each other and falling apart and barely snuck out a win against a terrible team, 1 game later, against one of the worst teams in div 1 missing their best player and you are saying this?

IIRC, tubby has a policy against freshmen players talking to the media.

This policy needs to stop. Norvell allows freshmen talk to the media. The football program is taking off while the basketball program is tanking.

The policy makes no sense in the modern era.

It’s an odd policy. Freshmen cannot talk to the media in the first semester. They can talk once Spring semester starts. Super odd.

It's a ridiculous policy IMO. Plus, the new kids are a pleasure to talk to. Smart, bright etc.

Everybody wants to tell a Hall of Fame coach how he "needs" to coach. SMDH.

I've noticed an uptick in two separate sets of circumstances.

First, when there's an upcoming event. We are playing a certain rivalry game. Or there are rumors around - like someone is going to hire our coach.

Second, when a high volume poster gets banned.

You really think the staff is astroturfing?

GTS could find out in seconds if they didn't use a VPN.

I've seen political campaigns have their interns do it on the Flyer. But I have a hard time thinking Tubby has a GA posting here.

I'll write an anti-Tubby chat bot from Stammer's last 50 posts using a Markov chain if you want me 2. Just for you.
