With ya, brother. All I know is that I'm back on and all it took was a little patience.

It's so nice to see a proper DNS tool query result instead of Windows' built in craptastic ones.

RE: People can't get in to CSNBBS today

It LOOKS like my eero was intercepting DNS queries, so even though I was querying another DNS server using dig, I was still getting results from eero. I disabled all the 'eero plus' security features, and pointed the router's DNS at OpenDNS. Previously I had used the Windows config options to point at OpenDNS. Now I can get to csnbbs once again.

BTW, the TTL I set on the A record is 1800. 30 minutes.
That means either NameCheap deliberately override that TTL with a ludicrous 86400 (24 hours) or 172800 (48 hours) or AT&T automatically senses a parked domain and overrides the TTL with their own huge number. Either way somebody has a really terrible TTL override policy.

The way DNS works it can take a few days for all networks to update and recognize the change. I’m afraid what we are seeing is early signs that csnbbs.com is about to go offline entirely within a day or two.
I emailed GT Swagger, and hope he will be able to take corrective action before the boards die. It is possible he may have to register a new name / url.
By no means do I want to replace this board, but if there are issues with this site I have created a JMU fans subreddit that can act as a backup. This is not nearly as functional as CSNbbs, but could be a short term landing spot in case something happens.
Here's the link: https://www.reddit.com/r/JMUFans/new/
Why not a Discord channel?

The parked page bit shouldn't be happening at all. The domain auto-renewed last night (the 10th, I can even screenshot the receipt showing the transaction posted on the 10th if you want). The domain would have otherwise expired tonight (the 11th). I got nothin' on why anybody would be seeing a parked domain notification from that. Try temporarily bypassing the normal domain:

I'd love to know if anybody with this issue is **NOT** using AT&T. Because so far everybody with a problem is using AT&T.
I am on Centurylink and was out from Sunday till now.

Verizon had some issues for about a day also, but those cleared up faster.

72 hours. We have a new winner for crappiest ISP DNS system. For heavens sake switch to OpenDNS or Google DNS. Your surfing will be faster and your privacy will be better guarded. Well ... maybe not in the case of Google if you already have GMail.
