Because you are playing teams with a pulse, and they are playing the little sisters of the poor.

when we win, RPI doesn't go up. When we had a bad game, RPI went down by 100-150

actually...beating AAMU caused RPI to go down by 60ish. CRH said OOC is what it is...because good teams don't want to take the risk to play us. The way schedule is set up...we have to beat everyone convincingly to just maintain top 100 RPI....

we're not getting any at-large bid. At this point, I hope our team uses the OOC games as a "preseason" to work out all the kinks

Terrible. The league is off to a surprisingly terrible start. Only a few weeks left to try and get back to respectable.

Close to a lock we're a one bid league at this point already.

Bob Marlin tells us the same lies. The truth is they aren't trying that hard to get good home games. They aren't beating good teams on the road, and they schedule bad teams at home to pad their record. Nobody is scared to play Louisiana or Georgia State anywhere.

This I agree with. It’s been the same for the last couple years.

I don't know if I believe they're "afraid" to play teams like State, but they for sure don't want to.

I agree. Idk why CRH has the power to schedule games. He can easily schedule undesirable teams to secure his 20 win bonus.

RE: Basketball RPIs
CBS Sports has the Sun Belt 27th in Conference RPI right now out of 32 conferences. We're usually in the 10-15 range.

As a league we're:
0-3 vs. RPI top 25
0-7 vs. RPI 26-50
3-7 vs. RPI 51-100
10-18 vs. RPI 101-200
32-18 vs. RPI 200+

Pretty baffling poor first month for the Sun Belt. I really thought we were poised for a good season with as much as the league returned especially at the top of the league. But we're struggling to win any games top to bottom right now.

Scheduling is a major problem here as well, and we don't let the head coach schedule. The best home game we've gotten in the last 5 years is freaking Lehigh, and that's because they had a player from Jonesboro and wanted to give him a game in front of family.

We're regularly going through years now where we have 3 D1 home games in nonconference play, and the best of the bunch is usually an Ohio Valley team or something. Tuesday's loss to UT martin was our final D1 home OOC game this year.

UTSA
UT-RGV
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
McMurry

Actually I'm surprised USA isn't dead last in D1. We have a coach that we've known is the wrong choice for years, and yet we do nothing....year...after year....after year.
