The forum at BCJ is also commenting excessively on how the team slows down and looks at Mick on the sidelines instead of playing.

As many differences/disagreements as both forums have (almost a rivalry of sorts), if both are seeing the same thing, that says a lot.

Interesting how turnover rate has sky rocketed at same time looking at Mick excessively started. When JJ was allowed to run we was scoring 80 at ease, if mick dont trust the freshman bigs he must trust one of the freshman wings and go 4 guard line ups.

If folks on BCJ can openly criticise Mick now without risking crucifixion, that's concerning. The last time I subscribed there, Mick and Moose were a protected class. Even Tuberville had plenty of staunch defenders. 03-lmfao

Is that place more accepting criticism now? It seems like BCJ has grown a lot (which is great IMO), so perhaps that has brought fresh viewpoints. I'm considering resubscribing for football recruiting info.

RE: Are Mick's teams tight?
We play very tight. We're back to the very same thing we've complained about years, and everyone was hoping it would change with the addition of Cane Broome. Well, it hasn't. And our guys aren't playing confidently because with the exception of Clark and Evans, everyone knows they're getting yanked if they make a single mistake. The team takes the personality of the coach, and our coach's in-game personality is one of a neurotic control freak.

And I realize it's hard to argue with Cronin's results overall, but would it kill him to maybe show a little encouragement during a game? How often does he coach the guys up? I rarely see him clapping or slapping a guy on the behind when he comes out of the game. It's all scowls and screams.

I'm glad we're having this open dialogue about Mick (because the criticism is warranted) but I hope we are having a different conversation in March.

However, if we have another 1st weekend exit with our most talented team in 12+ years... I really don't know.

I don’t see any way they don’t give him at least a couple years in the new arena. Maybe if they miss the tourney altogether but even then I doubt it. There’s a lot to be said for stability in the world of college sports these days.

Cronin reminds me so much of my high school coach(who I hated with a passion) that it drives me nuts.

RE: Are Mick's teams tight?
Its BS that Clark and Evans ALLOWED to make mistakes over and over again as JR/SR without a word said to them. Yet every other player scared play their game because Mick go have temper tantrum if they make ANY mistake. I felt so bad for Washington in beginning of game, he did something wrong on offense and just had puppy dog face looking over at bench watching scott/brooks SPRINT to scorers table. You get bad chemistry when you yell at diarra and williams for mistakes but let your so called all americans turn ball over and NEVER try dunk ball. If you yell at Evans and Clark 1st, the rest of team would break a leg for him. Now i know most players dont even like him and the assistants got to cuddle players all the time.

Huggins did more scowling screaming but he let players play and do their own thing if they busted ass on court. Its fun and hilarious playing for Huggs, no fun and boring playing for Mick.
