Marquette game.
Playing the phoney rebranded " golden eagles' Monday, I suspect Levi Bradley from Milw will try to do more than he is capable and foul out midway second half and Huskies get plucked big time missing one of their two scorers.

I’ll be there to watch the blood bath. My lady went to Marquette so thought it would be fun to spend a day in Milwaukee. Maybe hit a few breweries. Hopefully NIU keeps it close.

RE: Marquette game.
Hello all, I am a Marquette grad. The Golden Eagles mascot will always be phony to the true fans, we will always be WARRIORS. I can answer almost any question y'all may have regarding MU hoops. My grandpa played at Marquette while they were the Hilltoppers in 1950-52 under Tex Winter. I'm a bigger Marquette hoops fan than I am Huskie football fan, believe it or not.

Wojo is in his 4th year. First two years were total rebuilding years (however we did win 20 games in year 2) after Buzz Williams abruptly left for Virginia Tech. Last season the Warriors returned to the NCAA tournament last season after a solid year. Got beat by South Carolina during their deep run...

By all means, try to make it to the game on Monday. Granted it will be a relatively bad crowd considering it is a Monday night game vs. NIU hoops (no offense) plus the students will be on winter break. This is the final season at the Bradley Center before they move into the brand new arena next door. The Bradley Center is still a great arena with many amazing memories. They sell beer/booze at the game, and it's big time college hoops....

As far as the game goes...MU is solid this year. Not great not bad. Still young. Great, great shooting team especially from deep. We lack a consistent interior presence. Bad defense. If the huskies drive the ball they can score in the paint... Eastern Illinois almost upset us at home a couple weeks ago. We have, however, beaten some solid squads in VCU, LSU and At our hated rival Wisconsin in madison by 19. (granted they're not good this year) The warriors may have their swag back a little. but after a week off due to finals, they can come out sloppy and unmotivated since NIU is on the jerseys and not Villanova.

I'm a diehard Huskie football fan, but a Marquette alum and a diehard Warriors fan...

go Marquette....

Sure would have been nice if we were to have Maric and Keyes in the lineup..but not to be
Maric to DePaul
Keyes hurt

Oh well...

I'd like to know if the Wisconsin game was a fluke or was it legit. They didn't look good early in the season but seem to have hit their stride.

RE: Marquette game.
Wisconsin game was not a fluke. Wisconsin isn't that good this year and are SLOW. Marquette came out guns blazing and ran circles around them. Helped that we shot 14-22 from downtown...

Just remember the big 3.... Howard, Rowsey, Hauser

Those are our best players. Howard might legitimately be the best player in college hoops. The kid can BALL.

Matt Heldt our big man plays solid D and sets good screens, our freshman are pretty solid and contribute...

I don't know anything about NIU hoops this year. I predict Marquette wins by about 20 but you never know. MU isn't a great defensive team by any means. Huskies should be able to score.

Theo is a good looking freshman. Big, strong and has some nice post moves. He's going to be a player...

If Ball State can beat Notre Dame there’s always a chance at Victory.

I will be there with a hardcore Marquette fan after a few drinks and dinner at the Wisconsin Club down the street from the Bradley Center. I have gone to one Marquette game each year for some time now- it is a great college basketball environment for sure. I am hopeful the Huskies came keep this one close and keep it exciting.

Do not use valet parking at the Wisconsin Club before drinks and dinner. I always park my own car along the fence on the north side. If you use valet, you may wait a half hour when you get off the return shuttle after the game. The weather will be perfect for the drive home.

MU fans are looking forward to transfer Harry Froling playing his first game.

Jaylen Key father Damon Key was a four year star for Marquette University.

RE: Marquette game.
Pretty even half, Huskies need to become a tougher team. This game and others Monty has been screaming at the to get on the ground and fight for lose balls. So far they haven’t. Take away or slow down Marquette’s 3’s and Huskie have a chance. After one half this games there for the taking. Tougher team will win!

Watching the game and seeing the crowd, I have to wonder if NIU will ever grow up.

Editing to add this is a comment about our embarrassing lack of support and poor attendance.

That crowd is NOT imprssieve inside a HUGE city. It is totally proportional to being in Dekalb.
