Well, he'll be much better than Jones in the long run. Don't like it for Troy, but the SBC keeps hiring good coaches. Maybe one day CUSA will stop crowing about how much better their programs are (they're not).

Good hire USA. And he's going to win quickly, because he'll already have the players that fit his system. USA will give us fits for the next 5-10 years for sure.

We return 17 starters next year. If he can fix the o-line (which he will certainly do) and add a bit of spice to the offense I think we'll be dangerous.

Don't see why he can't. Massey has UCA rated 50 spots higher than South Alabama. USA has better athletes.

Looks like an excellent addition to the SBC coaching.

And that is why Jones will not be back. The good news is that USA has a lot returning. We just need a running game. And big ole heaping dose of consistency.

USA did a great job in picking a new head coach. Campbell is a proven winner and he's going to do well in the SBC. We open the season against the Jaguars in Mobile next year, so here's hoping it takes Campbell a game or two to get the kinks worked out.

Good job guys. He's been very successful including that win against the Hogs last year.

Well, I think many were hoping that when Neal Brown left, Steve Campbell would be available since he's a Troy guy and has had success.

I think he would have definitely been on the short list, but ultimately I think Troy would hire someone with Neal Brown /Tony Franklin/Mike Leach offensive ties.
