Harrisonburg - 50,000

most JMU alum live 2+ hours away in heavily populated areas (DC, Nova, Richmond, Va Beach, Roanoke, MD, PA, etc). Not always easy to get off work and drive to the game. For some, yes, it's not a barrier. But for many it is. that's why regular season games that are on Saturday and can be planned months ahead are much more heavily attended than even the biggest playoff game. Nobody should ever question or support when we get nearly 25,000 to games. In the playoffs, it is what it is.

and because H'Burg is half the size of Fargo, we don't have as big a local base to draw upon. In fact, many locals can't stand JMU for the growth of the area in the last few decades that took their beautiful rural Valley and turned it into.....something else.

that said, we will still draw a good crowd compared to many this weekend. probably only NDSU will outdraw us, and not by much at that.

I wonder if NDSU fan testimonials of why they can’t attend are more interesting than ours. You know, maybe can’t make it because must attend Annual Christmas Livestock Orgy and junk.

takes bison lurkers less than an hour to respond to this thread but over 3 days to respond to the ones about their players being suspended for the same $hit they busted our chops over last year... Their fan base has shown their true colors since Dec. 16, 2016. Sure, it was easy to be a "cool, welcoming, laid back" fan base when you win 5 in a row, but in the face of adversity have shown they are just pricks.

I answered your question. Sorry I do not have any experience or scientific or anecdotal data to satisfy your curiosity. We are discussing attendance at games. I tend to think our testimonials of why some folks can’t attend are rather boring. I am curious if NDSU fans have more interesting stories/reasons. Maybe Bessy’s tits are inflamed and needs medical attention and junk.
