We Blew it
Lost soccer coach, Adrian Blewitt, to Army. Nice guy and had done a really good job here. However, I trust Chasse to find a great replacement.

Even fairly successful coaches are not likely to stay at this level, unless they just like the area and the job.

Like he did in men's basketball last year? Is there a custodian on campus that he could promote?

Well it's home for Wes, but you won't have to worry too much about someone coming along and hiring him out from under the Trojans.

Assuming the US Military Academy at West Point offered more money, not to mention probable prestige, facilities, etc., just exactly how did we blow it?

I don't know anything about the pecking order in soccer. Army may be up the ladder more than I might have guessed. I would have thought that would have been almost a lateral move. I certainly would not have thought Denver was a national powerhouse in hockey, tied for 2nd-most titles all time behind only Michigan. They have 8 titles, stretched out from 1957 to 2017.

I see where Lake Superior State has three NCAA hockey championships since 1988, and I never even heard of them.

It is just a different landscape in hockey. The last 7 NCAA hockey champs have been Denver, North Dakota, Providence, Union, Yale, Boston College and Minn-Duluth.
