And that dude look less than thrilled. Who the hell approved that commercial? You'd think they would have had him redo it.

What a dirty, uncalled for hit by FAU. And no targeting, late hit? Amazing.

Do you all think a lot of locals (non-FAU) will come out ?

It'll be a cold December 74° at kickoff. 03-thumbsup

Not a bad evening to enjoy a football game.

And I could see a lot of younger, non-FAU affiliated locals come out. We've never experienced this before, so we'll have to see what the turnout is like.

Traffic is crazy over on Glades Rd. This is a perfect night for football in South Florida.

Take Spanish river..

Actually I usually take Dixie to 20th. The Irishmen should jammed after the game.

Nice! I miss Boca!

Led with the shoulder to the chest. Helmet contact was incidental.

That was never targeting under the rules, and it was a correct overturn. Announcers were blind to the replay not to have at least questioned the call before the overturn.

Having said that, it was a DUMB late hit.

They're cheapshotting Akron's QB every time they tackle him. It's not good football. Makes me root for Akron. Get the guy down, get off him, and reset for next play. Anything else is bush league.

.
They need to revisit the targeting rules after the season. Many of the targeting calls were so much more docile than that hit. I know leading with the helmet is the key but it needs at least two variations.

Primary point of contact was to the chest with the shoulder. It was not a forceable hit aimed at the head or neck area, and the hit wasn't with the crown of the helmet. The elements for targeting just weren't there despite what the TV commentators with an agenda want you to believe.
