We really need to win this one. CUSAs RPI is on the upswing and we could help it out some as this is potentially looking like CUSAs best season in 4 years. I'm not saying RPI really matters for us personally anyways, but if we lose @Auburn we go into CUSA play with at least guaranteed 200+ OOC RPI.

Our SOS is straight up terrible and we need to schedule better games. No excuse for a 286 SOS really. 2nd worst in the league

FWIW Auburn is playing like they could blow us out

Just imagine what the line would be if 2 of their better players were able to play.

I had hoped maybe they would ****-can Pearl by now but it doesn't appear that will happen in the next 2 days.

Wish I had a job where I could refuse to answer questions from my boss.

I'm confident we would win if ALL their players on their payroll had to sit out Saturday instead of just two.

This may be another instance where we "lose" the game, but end up "winning" the game a year or two later after sanctions. Didn't that already happen to one of the Auburn games for us?

This schedule full of cupcakes has us woefully prepared to play anyone in the top 50 or even top 100 in basketball. You can't practice for high school teams and expect NCAA berth level results.

They love to shoot the 3. Gonna have to hope they have a cold shooting night and exploit our advantage inside. It'll be a big blow if Cokely and Lee aren't 100%.

I know Coke twisted his ankle but I hadn't heard anything about Lee. Does he have a nagging injury?

If coke isn't 90%+, we probably don't stand a chance.

Although, AU starts a 6-4 power forward. But they have taller wings.

He twisted his ankle late against Troy and was hobbling a little bit.

RE: UAB vs auburn
Third year in a row we are playing a mediocre at best Auburn team. Two of those years Auburn is playing without their best players. And we just hope its respectable. Not that I disagree but my God how we have fallen. It sickens me. We finally have what I believe is a real good point guard. If Lee does more than merely shows up, if he plays aggressive and doesn't treat this like a pickup game(stand around shooting long jumpers and blocking shots only after someone had gone around him) we WILL win this game. NO we aren't Duke but we aren't playing Duke either. NO EXCUSES! Win the f'ing game.

I fully expect us to get destroyed in this game, which is a shame considering Auburn will be without two of its best players. Perhaps when Auburn returns to Memphis level bad we can beat them again.

Haase haased around in the Auburn game 2 years ago.

Last year we didn't know how to react with Norton out.

I would hope that we have enough gas in the car to have a chance in the game.

KenPom now has Auburn at -13 (85-72). They are 7-1, and every one of their wins has been by double digits.
