I do not what to hear "Houston fielded a football team" from the jokers on the board.

To me the biggest disappointment was our play calling on offense. It was way to predictable and we attempt to do too much cloak and dagger playcalling. We always ran the ball on first down and we did not spread the field enough.
Our secondary on defense was completely terrible. We could not stop hardly anyone's pass offense and their tackling was horrible.
Special teams we do not need to say more about this do we.

According to the pundits on the other Houston boards, nothing good comes of a loss to Rice in football.

I must agree that game set the tone for the season. If you guys had a passing game, you might have put up at least 40 on us like most of the other teams that beat us.

I have another to add.

Kolb must have obviously been reading to much of his own press this year. When it is time for you to run RUN. Do not dance and definitely do not sachay through the backfield like no one is chasing your butt.

It's obvious that Kolb had a bad year; here's hoping he improves for next year. Hope it doesn't happen against UAB, but I'd like it to happen nonetheless.

Actually, I think stats wise he did okay. My main problem was with his decision making. He would try to force passes or when he had open field in front of him he wouldn't run hard.

I think things will get better next year as we will have a line with a year more experience.

I am dissapointed in our play calling, offensive line play, defensive line play, that we had to fire a 2nd coach in as many years, that we had all those losses, number of injuries, game attendance, my own apathy towards the last 4 or 5 games, that our Baskeball team is 2-2 with a$$ kickings from NCSU and Gardner-Webb, that it is not baseball season yet, and that so many of our baseball players went pro.

Is that enough stuff to be disappointed in?

Well I was asking from thoughts from my fellow Coog fans (if they show up) about our season. I guess it is okay to hear thoughts from other teams who have had lower than expected seasons. I was expecting ECU to win from 4 - 6 games.
