That guy was somewhat funny and a little annoying. I also think he needs to cool it with the f-bombs, especially when he's sitting in the GA section with a lot of families. He would be okay in the student section.

Some defensive stats following this game:

Thompson is 3rd in the nation in defensive rebounding.

Bond tied for 5th in the nation for steals.

As a team, EMU is 7th in the nation in steals, while tied for 18th in the country in blocks.

he needs to use his powers for good. KPJ, i'm not trying to horn in on your new gig, but it would be cool to get that dude to yell "SILENCE" before introducing the starting lineups. that's my pie-in-the-sky idea.

I sat next to that group (I was wearing the bib overalls). The costumes and signs were actually provided by the athletic department. They also did a new student lounge with free donuts, pops and popcorn with tv’s and charging stations so that was nice.

After the game the players posed for a photo with the student section and Weatherbee at one point stood in the section.

Good stats.

What it shows is that defense can be exciting (hope this thread doesn't morph into an EMU FB DL thread. 03-lmfao).

Steals can be very exciting plays and Bond makes highlight steals. I think a good bit of it is the frenetic nature of our defense and occasionally someone gets into a passing lane and steals one.

I think this defense is taylor made for Bond. He is so quick that getting him moving about like an atom is perfect for him. Putting him in a man-to-man defense would be a waste, I think.

We really need to get positive about this team. Like Crosby and Harris from EMU FB, we have some MBB players who deserve a lot of recognition and support by the fans.

We are getting many highlights from JT4, Minnie, P.J. and Timmy Bond. Some really, really fine athletes...

Steve,

You raise some good points until you said Bond's quickness would be wasted on a man to man Defense :-)
