Maybe now the stadium will have a bigger feel from Hampton Blvd.

RE: NEW stadium construction
Although much taller, these light poles have less lamps than the current ones (unless they’re being installed in smaller increments to form a bigger light).

I’m assuming since the lighting is a greater distance from the field the total lighting will have to be greater. If you look at the renderings (link on of. 45 of this thread) it looks like there will be some lighting supported from tandem poles, and a lot will be mounted on shorter poles along the top of the east and west sides.

Ah, got it. That makes sense. Like everyone else, I’m itching for the final renderings. My guess is we get them during Homecoming Week.

Looks like we're getting something different.

From the latest renderings I’ve seen and understanding we have a budget, I’ll be happy with it. You can’t please everyone, but they’re getting a lot of bang for the buck.

First I've heard of this. Is it a new section in the new portions of the stadium, or something being done to the game day building? Would love to see renderings of that.

Sorry I’ve been away from the boards. I have renderings but I can’t figure out how to attach them! I know folks are concerned about what we’ll be getting, but for the money, this will be a huge improvement in my opinion. Wish I could figure out how to show you

Are they new renderings?

All changes point back to Ballard’s original plan.

New features like this club. Here is my lame attempt to attach some pics. I don't recall seeing these posted anywhere.

The light pole seems to line up with this rendering.

This design was confirmed by HM. 2 deck version.

RE: NEW stadium construction
It’s the one on the bottom. The big add on is the Founders Club. If you look at my attachments you’ll see a cross section of a “restaurant/bar” on the home side. From the bar there’s access to outdoor club style seating on the lower level. It’s a nice touch.

Do you notice the old scoreboard and how it’s white or blank? If they can raise the money, they plan on getting a new one and moving it above the student section for better views.

For the most part those are the biggest differences in what has already been revealed.

The scoreboard has got to be a priority. If we can't come up with the money maybe we could put the old screen up there and attach a scoreboard to the right of it just like the old VT board.

Good news about the the club and the scoreboard. A nice scoreboard over the student section would spruce the place up quite a bit. Do you know if the plan is for the press box to be temporary? If not, hopefully they can make that a little more aesthetically pleasing. Perhaps some brick accents, flags on top or something. If they add the big scoreboard over the student section and jazz up the press box the biggest missing piece will be the new student section. Maybe this will come together in a good way in the end.

Have any more detailed pictures of the founders club?
Those are hard to see

RE: NEW stadium construction
Thanks SB. I’m trying to do it from my phone and I’m struggling. I dont have much else to share right now. The new press box is a huge improvement. There’s room for flags and stuff but the lighting will look great for night games. It’s time to start opening the wallets a little bit and chip in. I believe there’s approval for $60 mil. The final plans will take north of $70 mil. Anyone have about $10.3m they have laying around?

RE: NEW stadium construction
As a construction guy I've enjoyed walking around the stadium on gameday looking at the new bases for the light poles. I'm curious to see them in person now. I'm also really curious to see how phase 1 actually turns out since we don't have some renderings of what the actual design will be
