Locally, maybe. But on a national level has football brought more interest than a top level mid major basketball program could?

I would assume so. How much interest doss Northern Iowa have nationally?

I would say more than us. I'm interested in them. I doubt any of their fans are interested in our football team.

Football hasn't done much for our athletic perception nationally, or even that much regionally. What it should be doing is providing a better college experience for our students, adding excitement to campus life and encouraging more and more traditional students to come to ODU. And it should work as long as improvements in academics and safety come too. All of those thing together, along with continued athletic success will improve our national rep.

ODAF donations have gone up by a factor of 4 since football. That growth doesn't happen without FB. New stadium can't wait.

That's a fair point. Definitely something to consider.

It doesn't matter what the ODAF donations are because all those gains are going to football. It's not a rising tide lifting all boats.

NYE 6 worth more than final 4? One it's not achievable at our current funding. Two, I don't think so. I can name every mid major that has made a final 4 in the last 10 years. I could name one of the sympathy bids that have been handed out to g5 teams in the last year.

Harry already planted that seed by talking about how great the FAU stadium is.
