Oh yeah, he was actually pacing the sidelines during the last 10 minutes of the game. I am pretty sure he knew that a loss to Samford would be the beginning of the end for him.

He didn't inherit a bare roster and most of the players gave him a year before becoming malcontent. If you want to see a little of what Tubby inherited, watch Kansas next year. They may not be a Final Four team, but they'll have 2 players who were inherited by Tubby and one who had signed with us. I suspect they'll be pretty solid.

The team is playing up to it’s talent level. Plain and simple.

Only martin and davenport would be rotation players for a "normal" memphis team, and probably only rivers and johnson would be on a roster.

I wish them well and hope for the best, but my goodness there is a dearth of talent on the floor. No shooting, not ball-handling, no size. They are quick, but when you're constantly out of position who cares?

This is very ugly for sure. However, what if all those passes were made properly or all those shots went in????? Martin had a very bad game last night. The entire team made bad passes. These are the things that can be fixed. They better get fixed before conference play. Like someone mentioned before, very little chemistry is shown on the court. I have never seen a team like this before. I often wonder what happens when Azab is on the court????? I say this again, if the shots start falling, confidence will go up. Teams will stretch their defense so the big men can do some damage. I think Brewton, Thornton, and Rhodes are getting there. I really hope these guys can get it together. We lost to Nebraska last night. Their tickets were $2 each. Maybe Memphis should do the same thing to bring in some fans?????

Let's see, 1.5 million a year settlement with Penny accepting the other 1.5 million a year, done deal. Not sure about that. There were several "fast breaks" at the start of the second half with poor decision making and poor passes that resulted in turnovers.

Unfortunately, we aren't very good in either scenario; but I'm still pulling for them and will watch every game I can.
