If Norvell extends: 40,000 season tickets will be sold
I think tiger fans are tired of losing coaches. And the fact that rumors were swirling before the start of even his second season has held back a lot of tiger fans from going all in on buying their season tickets. I think, besides the bad luck with weather this season, another contributing factor was the absence of a long-term commitment from Norvell.

I also think that with Tennessee struggling and Ole Miss getting hammered, you will see a lot of their casual fans switching over. Trust me, I have already seen and heard it and people that I grew up with who were long time Tennessee fans are backing the Tigers and love watching them play now.

Back up the Brinks truck, throw everything at Norvell, show the commitment to him and if he shows the commitment to us you will see 40,000 season tickets sold before the start of next season.

Let's see.... 40,000 x $150 per = $6MM. Not bad. But I would still put us at around 30,000 season ticket sales max for next year. Maybe 40,000 in a couple of years if we start putting pressure on people's ability of actually getting tickets to games. IOW, an exponential curve, if you will.

That would be sweet! Even if it is just actual student residents (roughly about 7000 students), that would be HUGE for our stadium visuals. Course, those seats don't get paid for, or technically, they are already paid for.

Plus imagine about 10,000 $5 Kroger tickets and we can be selling out some bigger games. I’m serious. Norvell re-signing would be this huge. I live six hours from the liberty bowl, and even I would consider season tickets. Would make probably three games, and give away the other games.

Kroger tickets are for div1aa games-not big games.

30,000 would be huge

Technically the Kroger $5 tickets have been for the opening home game. These have been FBS games in 2013 and 2017. 2014-16 were FCS.

Good question. 30K is a great long term goal, but probably unrealistic for 2018. But, hey...shoot for the moon.

22,000 I believe.

From the CA:
A few hours before Memphis' season-opener against Louisiana-Monroe, university president M. David Rudd announced on Twitter that Memphis has sold a program-record 22,500 football season tickets for 2017.

They can bump that up to 30,000 with his extension and Tubby's firing.

Let Tubby drive the football helmet car.

25K would be a good growing number for next year. No UCLA on the schedule.

In 2019, the cross division teams switch and you'll see Cincinnati, Temple and South Florida again.

Mercer (5-6), Georgia State (6-5), South Alabama (4-8). Mercer played Auburn close (24-10) but got killed by Alabama 56-0.
