i agree. my seats are the funzone, but if tv is always facing the visitor side, fix it.

move the cameras to the other side.

i'm not a marketing guy, but come the f on, you stupid sumbitzes.

It's been explained before, the cameras won't go on the other side for 2 reasons. Cost of running cables over to the other side, which CAN be overcome. But what can not be overcome is the Sun shining into the cameras if the cameras were on the East side.

Simple just rotate the stadium. Make it happen! Draw that ish up.

No, that's ridiculous. What you want to do is reverse the spin of the Earth so the sun rises in the West and sets in the East. All the big-time programs do that.

well duh

Sure it does. By reversing the spin of the Earth, the sun won't be in the fans eyes when they switch home sides.

Moving your butts over to the east sideline to improve how we look on TV.

I'm sorry, but we play too many games in the 90 degree heat to sit over there as a matter of custom.

Personally I like my seats behind the Tiger bench that I have had for years more than I care about how we look on TV. Might be selfish but I am worried about my enjoyment more than I am perception.

That's totally fair. At least you admit it's selfish and/or the perception issue isn't a big deal. But there are plenty of people who do care and don't do something about it.

I'll be honest and admit I'm selfish. If suddenly the east sideline got the ratio of people the west sideline now gets, I will sit on the west sideline to stretch my legs out. The TV problem would be solved and we still get to be by ourselves. It's been a while since I've had to sit near the top, 2015 Navy probably.

Would you give up a PRIME seat on the west side for a crappy seat on the east side? Not saying there aren't prime seats on the east side. Just curious if crappy was all there was available on the east side. Gonna see how worried you are about perception.

RE: Liberty Bowl--so who's complaining about 11:30 a.m. kickoff?
Super simple. Move Tiger players to east side

we play so many dang night games on Thurs/Fri now that it doesnt matter which side we take

The home side is always 30%+ more full then visitor side

Change sides of the field and we will look like a major college on TV

Well my point is that prime seating is a very low priority to me. The only times I've moved down to the chairbacks in the past five years have been Bowling Green 2016 (4Q) and Southern Methodist 2017 (after the delay), and only because my party pushed the issue. I've had several games in this window where we could have done that but chose not to because the sightlines in the Liberty Bowl are so, so good.

We don't mind sitting in the gray rows around the second tunnels. And I like doing our part in sitting up there on the TV than doing the same (though probably with worse seats) on the west side.

Chairbacks rule. Best money you can spend. Don't have to worry about bubble butts taking up too much room on the row.

RE: Liberty Bowl--so who's complaining about 11:30 a.m. kickoff?
You would need to move players to East, in order to declare the East as the home side. Many fans sit to be close to the bench and enjoy watching our coaches on the sideline. Plus, you want recruits and family near the bench.
I think the sound might actually be better on the east for some reason (do we still have speakers on the press box?) so there's another plus.
You would leave the cameras where they are.
Really no cost to any of this. Just tradition. But the sentimental kind and not any kind that really matters.

The tricky part is the comfort level - fans and players. East obviously stays in the sun much longer. It hurts you early in the season with the heat. It helps you late in the season with the cold. But it only matters for the afternoon games. The 11:00 games are gonna be full sun no matter where you are; night games are night. I believe we only had 1 game this season within that afternoon slot - Navy. And it definitely mattered during that game. East side was full, hot sun. West side was decently comfortable shade.

So if you make the commitment to move, you have to avoid the afternoon time slot for the first half of the season. Once late October rolls around, it's anyone's guess whether the sun helps or hurts you with the weather.

Plus, which way would the band face? To the East away from the cameras? I know they don't broadcast the halftime show anymore on TV, but something feels off about that.

Me, I'm complaining. Not enough time to leave early Saturday and hitchhike down for a morning kickoff.

I sat with players families in the southwest corner. It was hot everywhere. That's the point about the 11am games, east or west doesn't matter.
