Whoa! Looks like UH hoops is getting noticed after the Arkansas win.
Andy Katz has them at 21 in his latest Power 36 list.
Been a long long time since I've read words like "legit" and "in mix for AAC title" used to describe UH hoops, and it's quite refreshing!
Katz's Power 36 - who's in the NCAA tourney

Power 36? Really?
Why not a Power 27 or the best 47 teams? WTF?
Regardless, UH hasn't put it together for an entire season literally in decades. I come off as the Simon Cowell of UH fans, so hopefully this is the Susan Boyle of UH teams.

i think its a reference to how many spots he thinks will be left after the auto slots for teams unlikely to make it otherwise are taken

You have to get on the national landscape by starting somewhere. Nice win for a first step.

Nice UH.
With Uconn and Memphis crapping the bed the AAC needs you.

His 'flawless' list also had the SMU win over USC as on the road.
Dude is a hack with an agenda that only watches ACC games.

I don't know how you can keep Florida that high.
Florida State exposed them in a bad way.

RE: Whoa! Looks like UH hoops is getting noticed after the Arkansas win.
"After all, in college basketball, "every game counts." While that phrase has been trademarked by the college football headbangers, it is total nonsense in that sadistic ground acquisition game. None of UCF's 12 wins against zero losses actually counted. As far as the race for the national championship is concerned, UCF played 12 exhibition games. Conference championships mean absolutely nothing. In college basketball, a conference title means you are in the tournament for the national title. Period. In football, the committee already has proved it will select teams that haven't won a conference title.
Therefore, in college football, it is laughable to suggest that every game counts. They do not. In fact, most of the games played don't count at all. In college basketball, every game does count, and every team is in it to the end."
I don't always agree with Bilas but he was spot on here.
