RE: Really want P6?
Going down to 10 is laughable. I think we should go up to 14 before going down. I think the odds are pretty good the AAC will lose 2-4 teams next time the B12 expands.

Temple stands proudly by our brothers in New Orleans and Tulsa.

Remember how big a hit the Big 12 took because they lost Texas A&M, Missouri, and Colorado? Those are all AAU schools. Conferences are athletic and academic. It takes both to be considered a credible conference.

Actually, academics has nothing to do with the additions to the SEC and Big XII. And they dominate. After all the championship is not decided in the Quiz Bowl. If you want to focus on academic institutions, drop to FCS and join the Ivy or Patriot Leagues.

And if they do, academics will have nothing to do with the teams that are chosen. Academics are used to exclude potential members when a conference can think of no other reason.

RE: Really want P6?
Now we are getting somewhere. Take tu and ut of nexts years schedule . Also remove your weakest non conference game.Fill with remaining 10 team round robin AAC schedule Memphis for example ; add usf, Cincinnati ,Temple. Lose the Ts and Mercer or Georgia State .starting to look good, isn’t it? P6; a lot closer!3 more games that help with attendance,tv ratings and rivalries

Sure, but when, in addition to academics, the school is broke, in a duplicate market, and hasn't seen recent athletic success in any major sport, it doesn't really matter now does it?

Has nothing to do with success . My original point. If Tulsa or Tulane is good or bad? Nobody goes to games or watches . I root for them , but big picture , sadly, nobody cares.

Really want P6?
Remember AAC is TRULY P6 in Basketball ...Tulsa and Wichita State May be the best rivalry in the league ...Especially when Air Force and Army are added

If academics truly mattered UAB would be in the SEC and Alabama would be in CUSA.

Small time thinkers, this guy is talking about a rilvary in , basketball mind you; between a new addition and a team that draws under 10 thousand for each sport. Thanks for making my point

When did these programs request to join the conference? I must have missed something. 04-jawdrop

I've seen some wild re-alignment posts, but dude...

I think he's making a point with hyperbole.
