I remember when that UTSA poster was on here in September pimping his undefeated team's chances for the Access spot...

Surprised a bit. Western Michigan and UTSA have decent fan support for a mid major.. Surprised they were left hanging...

Never heard of them. I agree with the bowls for not taking the no name programs.

Nothing was as bad as when UCF was denied a bowl berth in 1998 after finishing 9-2.

Anyone remember the Justice Bowl?
The Golden Hurricane vs. Da' Lobos

Differing Scripts For Justice Bowl
Published: December 20, 1982 NY Times

Ignored by the selection committees of all the major football bowl games, New Mexico and Tulsa staged a different bowl during the last weekend.

The Lobos and the Golden Hurricane had finished the season with 10-1 records.

The Justice Bowl took place not on grass nor on artificial surface but on computer circuits in Fort Worth, midway between the two universities. Local radio stations in Albuquerque, N.M., and in Tulsa, Okla., broadcast two different scripts. Over KOB-AM in Albuquerque last Saturday, the Lobos won, 30-27. On KGTO-AM in Tulsa yesterday, the Golden Hurricane prevailed, 27-24.

Man, that's insane. 10-1 and left out ? While I don't care for 30+ bowl games I do think there should be around 25 of them.

UTSA coach doing a nice job.

We have some games with them in a few years. Hope he's gone.

I feel their pain. Temple was left out in 2010 at 8-4 and 2014 at 6-6.
