Thanks, the only way we can avoid this next year is to actually finish and win the games that you are supposed to.

Young program with plenty of room for growth.

The coaches need to teach the guys how to finish.

The administration need to grow their rolodex. We don’t get left out in the cold if they have enough juice w/ decision makers.

The fans need to support win or lose and that starts by showing up to basketball games.

Thanks for the kind gesture. We didn't deserve it this year though. Losing 3 of our last 4, and not even scoring a single touchdown in our last 8 quarters warrants nothing. The C-USA schools who were chosen ahead of us will represent our conference better. And those from other conferences who got in ahead of us likewise deserved it more.

Coach Wilson's motto this year was "Finish", but we did a worse job of that this season than last year. Gonna sound weird, but I'm actually kinda glad we didn't get in because I feel we needed something like this as a wake-up call.

On the field play doesn't matter though or else UNT wouldn't have gotten the HOD last year. We got left out because we were the last desirable school/fan base to bowls which is a wake up call in and of itself.

P.S. Too bad you were never able to schedule a 12th game. Was there ever any real effort to do so?

on the field still mattered last year since north texas won 5 and got in due to their APR score....if they would have won 4, they would have been left out...

Western was left out in 2013 with a 8-4 record and 2011 7-5. Western was also on the other side...took Middle's spot in 2012 when they left the SBC and the SBC snubbed them. Western was on the receiving end 2013 because our the CUSA invite.

I personally wouln't have minded Western being left out this year. Glad for the Sr's but I think we end the season with a losing record.

Been there twice as well. Sucks.

UTSA already played in three bowl games this year, and went 1-2. luckily they can hang their hat on that huge Baylor win.

He didn't want to play Georgia Tech. Call it what it is.

I'm not going to come over to this thread and kick UTSA when they are down. Someday, North Texas could be in your position. In fact, right now, many of us are very frustrated about having to play Troy in the NO Bowl. I will say it would have been good for C-USA to place more teams in bowls.

UTSA's program is headed in the right direction and will be bowling again very soon.
