I love the matchup. It's the day after Christmas but later in the day so people can even drive there the day of the game. Hopefully weather cooperates.

I was hoping CMU would get this game instead of WYO in Siberia. Winnable game for NIU. You guys are pretty even with us; same record and close game. Good chance for the MAC to get a P5 win.

Agree. Potato bowl harder & much more expensive for fans to travel to. Hopefully there's a good turnout for a game in Detroit.

If anyone learns of hotel deals through NIU similar to ones that were avail for the MACC please post.

With the season we had, this is a great reward. Congratulation to STF and the whole staff on getting us positioned into this bowl game. No one WANTS to go to Detroit, but we easily got the best opponent matchup we could have, so i'm sure the players will be excited about that.

If you are going to play an exhibition game, might as well get the best matchup possible, this feels like the best matchup possible.

I am absolutely delighted! Close enough to drive to, against a P5, etc.! I don't think there is much of a debate that this is by far the best bowl/match-up we could ask for.
