OT: Herm Edwards to ASU
The hiring of Herm Edwards by ASU really is a head scratcher for me. I like Herm and he is a local guy that does some great things around my community, but he has never been a head coach in college and only had a short stint as a DB coach at SJSU.

I interned in their athletic department when I was at Temple. It's a very strange place, and their ADs from when I was there til now reflect that. This is going to go down as one of the worst hires in college sports history.

Something has to be wrong with the program. There has to be a skeleton in the closet that the NCAA is going to sniff out.

I think Herm is known as being a very honorable man. I feel like the only way this makes sense is if ASU is expecting sanctions and something dirty is about to hit the news. The AD is being proactive and saying this guy is going to get us back to running programs the right way.

Horrendous hire. Best record will be 6-6. Fired after four years.

They start off next season with

UTSA
Michigan St.
@SDSU
@Washington

0-4 isnt out of the question, 1-3 is probably the ceiling.

The impression I got is the AD and Todd Graham just didn't see eye to eye. So this is basically keeping the entire coaching staff except the HC. Hire your friend. Install him as HC and everything will be roses.

In theory it sounds great but I tend to doubt it will actually work.

We humiliate them next year. We destroyed them this year as well, but the final score made it look much closer.
