For a team tied in the 2nd half in the opener against USC to this ending is very tough to swallow.

Oh yes. The standard response. Nobody is cheering on Minnesota and we don't need to follow them. What we need is for our coaching staff to do a better job. The Western Michigan coaches. Let's hope they can next year.

In past years they’re so desperate to fill slots that they’re digging up 5-7 teams. Of course the one season we finish 6-6, there’s no room at the inn.

After hockey gets swept and our hoops team stumbles at home, this kinda wraps up the weekend with a bow.

Was hoping we’d slip in somewhere, but obviously we had no business in the post season anyhow. Undeserving of any sort of reward. So I’m not going to lose sleep over it.

One of the more disappointing flops of a season I can remember (yes, injuries played a key role).

On this note, I will disagree with you somewhat. The injuries did pile up more than normal as the year went on which I think explains the further drop in quality.

It's the sequence of MSU-Idaho-Buffalo-Akron that most concerns me as we were quite healthy and still IMO playing well below our talent level. Also blowing a 2 TD lead to your main rival in a quarter on your home field is well, not good.

Women's BB team had all the opportunity in the world to beat MSU by 10 or more but instead lose by 3.
