I do not think they will consider Viator but ego has nothing to do with it. You do not hire a coach who is currently coaching in your conference. I also do not think his resume is right at this time. I also do not think Rebowe would be a candidate as he was recently on this staff.

A coaching search is always fun.. well it was not fun when they hired Baldwin because they were turned town a few times first.. plus then they hired Baldwin. I think there will be plenty of qualified applicants this time around.

I don't know where you're getting that information. The Cajuns, just like all the rest of us in Louisiana, have endured budget cuts every year since the oil business tanked back in 08. None of us have money to "throw around" at anything or anybody. One of the biggest problems for head coaches at Louisiana's universities (except for LSU) is that we all have a hard time retaining quality assistant coaches because we can't pay them what they can make elsewhere. In ULL's case, the problem was exacerbated by the fact that they were overpaying Hudspeth by about $500K a year.

Here's something I was wondering. Are they prepared to pay another coach $1 million a year? Cause if that's stretching what they can pay assistants, then that's not going to help them much.
