For as much as we have beat the attendance horse to death, we need to do what we can to help get butts in the seats for the Quarterfinal against Weber St. Friday night game at 7 hurts anyone who has to commute or work. I think the only way to beat out last year's Friday night 15.6K attendance is to get students and locals to the game.

Harrisonburg/Valley board members: invite everyone. Coworkers. Neighbors. Church friends. Whatever.

Student board members: you're the avid fans. You have to invite the casual fans!

I think a lot of people who would typically not consider going to a JMU game would absolutely go if asked and they are available. Buy their tickets if you can!

If half the fans coming to the game Friday brought another family or two, we'd have a sellout.

I'm pushing all my friends to come. Already got lots of logistics talk cooking with several who don't attend frequently. Hoping this will be another fun one a la Soft Houston.

We'll be missing this one unfortunately... =(

At least I already have 3 rooms booked for the 15th. We'll just have to root through the big screen for this one.

I'll be there +6 who don't usually attend. Flying in from Utah for (hopefully) two playoff games!

We'll be there snow, rain, ice, win or tie. I'm hopeful the testimonials this week of why folks aren't going are more interesting than last week. For example, folks must attend a human sacrifice or traveling to North Korea to pick up women (maybe both at the same time).

Work/Friday night will be the #1 excuse for not going. Cold weather will be #2.

For those of us in DC area, it will mean needing to leave before 5pm, though 3 or 3:30 may be doable. For a lot of people, it takes some effort, but can be done.

I’m in awe of the folks traveling from places like Utah, New York, and Florida that make some of these games. Now THAT is dedication and some truly Rootin fans.

I can't make this one but hope to come up from Florida the following week for the Semis

Waterwagen, We need your insight on Weber State since you reside in Utah.
Obviously, Utah and BYU dominate the football market there. What can you tell us about the Weber State program that may not be evident from afar?

Make sure you tell people it will be on ESPN2. For some reason being on TV makes it feel more like an event and they want to be there.
