CFP should probably be as you predict but I think AL gets screwed & OSU likely gets the 4th slot - and then gets hammered by whoever they play.

And with the CFP selections made, UCF probably does move up. Playing the skeptic, Memphis probably doesn't make the final 25 but should be 22.

Alabama at 4 for tv ratings. That's why they put them at number 5.

Ohio State has never looked like 1 of the 4 best teams in nation all year. So inconsistent. How is the committee going to explain away the Iowa loss? I just want anger so that we’re one step closer to expansion

Agree.

If Ohio State made the playoffs last year over Penn State, then Alabama should make the playoffs this year over Ohio State.

Last year two loss Big Ten Champion Penn State even had a head to head over one loss Ohio State and did not make it. They did not make it last year over one loss Washington.

Yet this year a two loss, both blowouts, Ohio State might make it over Alabama at this stage? Should not happen. I am sure there are subtle differences such as who Ohio State beat last year etc... but they overcame the head to head loss to Penn State in large part because PSU lost bad to Michigan.

Alabama. Plus they scheduled Florida State and won...before they lost their QB.

RE: Prediction on what teams will make the CFP
Ohio State’s better wins will trump their bad loss. Plus the Big 10 Championship, while Bama didn’t win division or conference. And Bama no top 15 wins.

Only one time in CFP era did a team get in 4 team playoff without winning its conference.

Plus, to pick Bama, committee has to leave Big 10 out of CFP. Bama will be 5th, but don’t think it’s a really close decision. Just my opinion.

Ohio State had 3 top 10 wins last year, two on the road. Bama has none this year.

RE: Prediction on what teams will make the CFP
I get the argument.

Not sure how many top ten wins Penn State had last year but one was head to head.

Alabama did beat Florida State and LSU, top ten caliber teams that ended up having some rough losses. Que the Troy yapping, while ignoring an Iowa blowout.

OSU is really good. But if a two loss team makes the final four, it should be one that was not blown out twice. Simply my opinion, I am not expecting to change minds, and am not changing mine, key being I get that OSU may get the nod.

All conference champions, so Alabama gets left out and should. They did not even make their championship game.

....as Ohio State did not. Last year either.

Opinion is fair, but reasoning should go beyond that.

I agree Bama would beat OSU this year. Just predicting what the committee will do today, and the justifications the committee will use.

If Ohio State gets in, then it will be two years in a row that the committee gave them a pass for various reasons that they probably wouldn’t do for other teams, even mighty Alabama

Trying to protect Nick from back to back losses to Dabo.

I would say...who least wants Alabama in the playoff?

Clemson.

AP Coaches poll has Bama at 4. Will be fun seeing losing fan base go crazy.

I don't believe Dabo or Clemson cares who else is in. Their culture is "next".
I don't believe any of the final teams care who else is in as long as they are. But Nick begging to be included is interesting. After all he is Nick and they are Alabama, so what is the committee even questioning?
