RE: Prediction on what teams will make the CFP
Saban was talking about how players dont even want to play the crap OOC games or the weaker conference teams.

Well, there's about 5 or 6 teams in the AAC you could schedule that would fix that.

He says that but once a Memphis, UCF, USF, Houston beats those team or those teams win albeit a closer one than the Vegas numbers then they will probably want to dump them

IMO the top tier AAC teams are absolutely flat out better year end and year out than the bottom feeders in the P5 conferences and would be very competitive against the middle-of-the-pack teams of those conferences if they played them on a consistent basis

Yeah. His solution to having a better process for determining a national champion doesn't involve expanding the playoffs. He said that P5 schools should only play other P5 schools during the season to see how they good they are. What a douchebag. I didn't see him scheduling Memphis or UCF, or any other team from the American for that matter.

Let Saban schedule OOC HHs with Clemson, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and Penn State every year and get his players fired up.

I'm sure a 6-6 Bama would stay fired up playing a 7-5 MTSU in the Bahamas Bowl.

before they go to an 8 team playoff...I think a trial balloon idea may be floated like this....

You know how they have teams in the NCAA tournament play themselves in before they get blown out in their next game against a #1 seed like UK, Duke, UNC, or Kansas?
Maybe they could have a game where two teams fight over the #4 playoff spot.
Just a thought,

Who has Bama beaten...

Hell who has the SEC beaten Out of Conference.

Georgia beat Notre Dame...Bama beat no one, Auburn beat no one, LSU beat no one...On and On...

So how do you know how good the SEC is if they beat no one but each other...If the SEC was so good why are they firing so many coaches.

Shhhhhhh!!! Don't tell anyone. That's how it is every year and the media plays along.

With the low level G5 schools Alabama plays year in and year out, Saban is the last person to criticize schools for scheduling weak opponents.

It's the eye test. If you watched SEC games, the players are bigger, faster and more talented than most teams.

Maybe so but they would get embarrassed against Clemson.

So will Alabama

Bama didn’t win conf, 11-1, 2 wins over teams in final poll
UCF won conf, 12-0, 2 wins over team ranked in final poll

It is a circle jerk...

The Sec is good because they beat other SEC teams

Saban had the nerve to say he couldn't get any other games on the schedule...There are a ton of teams that would fall over themselves for a home and home with Alabama...But everyone knows P5 schools have to have 7 home games a year so they will always have the buy game

I'm a huge Memphis and AAC fan, but I watched Alabama, Auburn and GA games when they were playing each other. It's pretty obvious the talent level is on a whole new level above UCF/USF/Memphis.

RE: Prediction on what teams will make the CFP
Ucf deserves a shot at one of the four spots. I doubt they would win, but they still deserve a shot.

Any team who doesn't win their conference championship should not be able to win a national championship. By including a team like that, you cheapen the whole process.

As in past years, i don't care who gets in the playoff and i will not watch it. Imo, all fans of small conferences should boycott the playoff. If ratings and interest drops, then they might make a change. But as is now, why should they change? The ncaa still has all of you watching.

Only because they started dividing the "haves" from the "have nots" nearly 20 years ago with the bcs and now the playoff. The difference in talent between a school like memphis vs alabama was not so great. Yeah, they had better players, but not on the scale they have now.

Not exactly factual. No one knows what would happen until Alabama agrees to schedule UCF...which they’re too afraid to do.

Lol not comparing the SEC to the AAC...

Comparing the SEC to the other P5 conferences...No one gets the respect the SEC does and it is not based on the performance from this year.

The best team the SEC beat was Notre Dame and Notre dame was beaten by several other conferences as well

That is true, especially the Big 12 where Memphis is drawing a tough 7-5 Iowa State in a bowl that beat OK and TCU. I could Argue that USC from the PAC12 deserved the 4th spot. It is the eye test. Watch the games and you will see the talent differences.
