Smile LIBERTY BOWL - BEST BID WE’VE EVER RECEIVED
Any long term true Tiger football fan knows this is our very best bowl bid in school history.

It really pisses me off seeing bull**** posts about the Liberty Bowl bid being a bad thing.

All the years we tried to win the Liberty Bowl Alliance bid makes the invite so sweet.

I think anyone bitching about a Liberty Bowl bid must be a young fan who didn’t endure the 80’s and early 90’s.

We get to enjoy a high paying bowl and get to play on our home field.

If there aren’t 40,000+ Tiger fans there then Memphis doesn’t deserve this team. They are so fun to watch.

I don’t care about coaches. I love our players!

I’m thrilled. I won’t have to pay for Hotel. Can enjoy festivities all week and then watch us beat up a mediocre Big 12 team.

It's a good bowl but still pretty sad at the same time.

No, what would be sad is to either be going to the Peach or Birmingham bowl.

Why is it sad? Compared to any other bowl game our conference has tie ins too.....It’s a million times better.

Sad for who? Not the school, team, coach or players, or many of the fans. If you mean sad because it's not the Peach Bowl, well, okay. I get being sad about that, but still, it's the best bowl we've ever been to.

Going to Peach wouldn’t be sad because it would be a New Years Day Bowl and the payout would be like 3 million. So regardless if you won or lost...Wouls be great. Liberty has a good payout too.

It should be a celebration among Alumni and Memphians

We are 10-2

WE WILL BE PLAYING IN OUR BIGGEST BOWL EVER

Gosh dam...We have some idiot so called fans. Obviously, anyone bitching about going to Liberty Bowl never experienced 4th and 26, etc

Sure would rather have won today but the Liberty Bowl is a pretty damned good consolation prize.

Given a choice between Peach or Liberty bowls of course the New Year's Day game would be the best. With the current AAC bowl tie-ins available the Liberty Bowl is a nice option. We should have a great crowd and could be something Tiger football uses as a springboard to increase the Interest of fans in the area. Season ticket sales get a bump, recruiting gets a bump, attendance gets a bump. The only losers in this are the hotels and restaurants in the area. Local business owners won't be thrilled to have the Tigers playing.

I seriously just want to fist fight anyone talking crap about our Tigers

We’ve had an incredible season

Screw anyone who can’t be happy about our results.

Any real Tiger fan is so proud. Anyone talking crap is and never has been a real fan.

To those talking crap, I say take a WALK. Be a fake fan for someone else

Why should we be concerned about the hotels in Memphis being losers due to the Tigers playing in the Liberty Bowl?

We are gonna make a great payday without travel costs.

Do our area hotels donate money to our program? NO

So who cares if our hotels make extra money? Goodness gracious.

The university has followed the idiots running the city down every rabbit hole for 100 years. It's on them this time or we just build an ocs and let the liberty bowl host monster truck pulls.

Can black out and not forget where my hotel is. In all seriousness, this is gonna be a great day. Beating a Big 12 team, yeah that Big 12, is gonna be a lot better than a three score loss to Auburn. And yes, Auburn will beat UCF by three scores. UCF is really freaking good. But SEC speed kills...

Did I say we should be concerned? I'm just making the point that they would not favor having the Tigers in the Liberty Bowl as it pertains to their bottom line. Many of those same people are fans and will be excited from that perspective.

You nailed it

Screw us being worried about what’s best for the city’s bed tax base.

We are gonna play and win the Liberty Bowl. And we are gonna be able to pocket some nice cash for the 1st time ever for a post season game.

Great Payday and no Travel Costs.

Finally a WIN for our football program
