Lots of updated projections out on multiple sites. Google “bowl projections” and most sites are updating after most games today. Several make sense while others have you wondering WTH

One site only has 7 CUSA teams which means all 3 teams being left out are from CUSA while another has USM in Hawaii.

Exactly. That was the WTH projection

Saw where it’s being reported AAC brokered a deal before their CG for it’s CG loser to play in Liberty Bowl so Memphis gets a home game

Doing a quick scan of most sites and more times than not Buffalo of the MAC along with 2 CUSA teams are the 3 out. The 1 CUSA team left out the most is WKU and about an equal combo of UTSA, MT and LT for team 2

RE: Bowl Season
Brett McMurphy is said to be one of the more reliable projections and here’s his after all games completed:

New Orleans - UNT vs Troy
New Mexico - WKU vs Colorado St
Cure - Marshall vs Georgia St

Boca Raton - FAU vs Temple 04-jawdrop

Frisco - La Tech vs SMU
Bad Boy Mowers - FIU vs Boston College
Bahamas - UAB vs Ohio
Armed Forces - UTSA vs Army
Independence - USM vs Florida St

MT left out along with MAC schools Buffalo and Western Michigan. MAC only gets 5 of 7 while CUSA gets 9 of 10 so not bad for CUSA unless you’re Middle Tennessee.

FWIW
#1 Clemson vs #4 Ohio St in Sugar Bowl
#2 Oklahoma vs #3 Georgia in Rose Bowl
Auburn vs UCF in Peach
Alabama vs Miami in Orange
Wisconsin vs USC in Fiesta
Penn St vs Washington in Cotton

RE: Bowl Season
Wonder how many teams that went 6-6 didn't earn one of those wins against a I-AA team and also beat a P5.

By the end of December, we might finally have a healthy team again. But none of that matters does it. We're MT. Snub time. Fourth time in 16 years. There's always next year.

I hope his projections are right about the playoffs. Auburn doesn't deserve that Peach Bowl invite with 3 losses. FAU deserves to play FSU or USF in their bowl. I hope they get to play one of those teams from their state.

Hard to believe his CUSA picks. Why would CUSA match up 2 P5 teams against non division winners? And for that matter, why would TV allow 2 P5 teams to play non P5 teams when they don't have to? I will be surprised if McMurphy has it correct.

Because 18 P5 schools didn’t qualify when on average usually only 12-14 don’t qualify. Then throw in BYU who isn’t eligible for a change so there’s part of your answer

My point being that I expect the TV networks to try and swap things around so that instead of having 2 P5 teams playing 2 G5 teams that they will give the G5 teams the shaft by matching the 2 P5 and 2 G5 teams against each other. Just a hunch. We'll find out shortly.
