Obinna Eze was redshirted this year. I expect he will slide in as tackle and we move someone else to Kuhn's position.

Eze is slated to play LT. Tate was the starter there this year and he was all-AAC. Do they move an all conference senior, play the 4 star RS freshman at RT and maybe move Joseph inside to RG? It’s a nice problem to have.

It is a possibility. Not a probability, but a possibility. He has only used 3 years of eligibility. His 5 years since starting are up - so it would take a petition. But it's very possible that it would be granted since he redshirted one complete year, then sat out of college for another complete year.

So, two things would have to happen. First, Riley would need to decide that the likelihood and reward of improving his draft status outweighs the risk. Second, the NCAA would have to approve the petition.

Again - unlikely - but possible.

You have 5 years to play 4. Your clock starts ticking the moment you set foot on campus.

The only way he could gain another year of eligibility is to prove he didn't play due to injury.

That is going to be hard to do when he was working on fences and all that.

That is not the only reason waivers are granted. There is precedent.

Besides, I believe he did sustain injury that first redshirt year at UTK. That could factor in along with missing a year of school. Decent case for a petition.
