Great game Memphis.
I know I've done some light trolling throughout the year, but that hell of a game. Once again, we faced a strong opponent who left everything on the field, and we were lucky to just barely come out on top. I'm reminded of a goofy quote from my favorite coach of all time, Les Miles:

"Two very quality teams take the field and compete like a son of a ***** for victory. And you know what? It's not a hammer and a nail relationship. It's an opportunity for an opponent to be equal, and to raise the level of play in such a fashion that they win. And that's how this thing works. That in fact you respect the opponent and he's not the hammer and he's not the frickin' nail. OK? He's the opponent, you understand? "

I think that sums up this game. Both defenses struggled, but came up big when it really mattered multiple times throughout the game. The offenses obviously made plays left and right. The coaches gambled. Can't end the season any better than that, much respect.

By the way, the last time Memphis beat UCF, Dr. Frasier Crane was still living in Boston.

Thx for the shout out.

Oh, not that it matters, but at least Memphis doesn't forget to bring their uniforms.

I hope you get a flat tire that cannot be replaced and you have AWD and the thread is worn enough that you have to get all 4 tires replace. Congrats on your victory. Frost to Nebraska.

You (bad word withdrawn). Lol. I may need to see Frasier after that game. I think I'm scarred for life

After last weeks game with USF I didn't think there could be a more exciting game. I was wrong. Great game Memphis. Your team made all of us proud to be in the ACC with a performance for the ages. I think it was the highest scoring conference championship ever. I just hope we both win our bowl games. 04-cheers

Did that break a record for most combined yards all time? It had to be close.

Knights and Knight fans!!!

Congratulations on the outstanding season,
and best of fortune in the coaching search.

Knock ‘me dead New Uears Day!!

I don’t think there are many teams that could have beat us today;
the Knights played very well.

Even with Jake that field goal miss against Houston still haunts me.

RE: Great game Memphis.
Great game, Knights. I would say the difference was your defensive line late in the game. Riley was running for his life way too often. Our offensive line got real porous, and that's what forced the turnover to end the game. In short, I think y'all wanted it more than us, and that was a lot, cuz we wanted it bad.

Great game, Knights. You deserved to win, but there were no real losers in that game. A great way to go out in the CCG.

Congrats to UCF. Well played. I'm proud of our guys, as well.

Ratings should be huge for the second week in a row.

For 2 weeks in a row, I thought UCF was about to bury another team in the first quarter, but both fought back and made for epic games.

Good showing Memphis and I bet the ratings look good for the AAC again.

Great timing for our league into negotiations next year. Now we need to do something on the basketball court.
