Now that's entertainment! I doubt anyone is watching the Big 12 championship right now.

Amazing. I'm currently in the Bahamas and their is a big watch party on the casino. Over a hundred people in the sportsbook cheering and watching this game. Tons of UCF hats and shirts in Bahamas as well as the cruise that I am on.

Lack of defense notwithstanding..

From the casual fan perspective, it was as entertaining a game as any in a very long time. Lots of offense. Many back and forth lead changes. Overtime. Excited fans. One very exciting and noteworthy game. Both schools can expect to gain recruits and fans from the game.

From beyond the casual fan. With the points that UCF gave up year and the lack of defense, one can expect the sport talking heads and sports writers to continue to discredit UCF with a lack of defense. Watching the game I was wondering how UCF would fair against the top 10 teams. One could expect lots of scoring from UCF, and likely lots of scoring from their opponent.

Synopsis: Kudos to both teams. And once some semblance of a defense evolves, UCF can gain respect and move closer to that P6 moniker. And both schools moved closer to that perception.

Has anyone seen or heard anything about the tv ratings for the game

I think I saw it was up something like 56% from the same time slot last year with 2 P5 teams in a CCG.

Both teams play a hurry up style offense. That game had around 170 plays. The more plays that are run, the more advantage the offense gains. Yards will be gained, points will be scored.

By comparison, the SEC and Big12 CCGs had about 120 plays.

Keep in mind a lot of people watched it as if the coaches were at an audition, I bet the entire state of Nebraska and Arkansas tuned in

Obviously, thats why UCFvUSF had such a big number last week too, especially in Orlando. Must be all those Orlando Nebraska fans.
