He says there's no way a G5 gets in the Playoff at this point (I assume he means this year or ever) but if he had a better memory he'd know that if Houston had ran the table last year they likey would have gotten in.

Nobody knows that.... We never saw the CFP rankings before they crapped the bed. I do not believe they would have gotten in.

It's really unbelievable the sh*t we have to put up with in this conference. We have all made sacrifices to stay in the highest level of CFB. We are not really like the g4 in terms of fan support, tradition, on-field performance, facilities, etc. but we are relegated to a lower status against our will. Absolute bs!

No one in this conference wants to be relegated to a lower division. Go talk to the Sun Belt & C-USA and many programs may welcome a G4 playoff but most of the teams in this conference have either been in a power conference before &/or were major independents in the late 70s, 80s, & early 90s. None of us wants to play down a level. It's an absolute insult to us to suggest it.

All we want is a fair chance to compete for a National Title and that is being deprived from us through subterfuge and collusion. We will not give up the fight however and we will force the issue. UCF & Memphis could beat any team in the nation on a given day and now the winner must show that when it matters. We have to prove it as a conference over and over until it can't be denied. While we do have additional obstacles weighing us down that also gives us added motivation. The old adage rings true that whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Adversity can be an ally.

Yup. Likely would have been ranked #5.

That would have been their glass ceiling. Week in and out, the excuse to not make them higher would have been the conference schedule.

Unfortunately, I think that’s true. It’s one thing for a MAC undefeated team to be ranked in the mid-teens. But ranking UCF in the mid-teens and jumping it with 3 loss P5’s pretty much tells you that every 3-loss P5 champ would be ranked ahead of a Houston front last year. Frankly, the system is fine. It’s the rigged and stacked committee that’s the locked door.

If the committee was a 10 member body with one representative from each FBs conference, I’d be perfectly confident that a deserving undefeated AAC team could make the playoff.

That said, let the G4 have thier playoff. The AAC won’t participate in that FCS-ish nonsense. If the G4 do thier own this—that’s great for us. That would leave us with a guaranteed access bowl and set us up to be part of the P6 next time around with our own contract bowl.
