I thought that was Pastner...

...at any rate Kermit recognizes talent and how to get the most out of it. He's proven it time and time and time again. Surprised that coaches at Memphis were unable or unwilling to put King in the best position to utilize his talent.

I believe he quit under Pastner, got injured at Alabama, got a medical redshirt, and then Tubby didn't want to recruit him back.

to prove my point:

The numbers Nick King is putting up this year are just silly. One of the most efficient players in CBB. 22.8ppg 62% FG 92% FT. Has only taken 12 3’s but he’s knocked down half(50%).
